We arrived in Columbia, South Carolina on October 8th, the RV park is small,
but very quiet and close to the capital and a public golf course.
The man that owns and runs this RV park wanted to welcome us in a grand way-ooppps.
I can't believe it!! our name in lights for the first time and it is spelled wrong!
The day we chose to go to the capital the weather was forecasted to be in the low 70's but actually the temperature was in the upper 50's. Consequently, we were not dressed for the cold weather and could not enjoy the beautiful grounds as much as we would have liked too.
This is George Washington and his cane was broken off when a
group of Union soldiers gathered around the statue
Beautiful interior colors-I was not able to take very many pictures, the interior of the capital
was very busy-Many school children on tours and the press was there to interview
citizens on the misconduct of one of the states senators.
