Site seeing in downtown Cheyenne Wyoming 7.31.13

We arrived downtown in time to catch the "Cheyenne Street Railway",
a trolley and driver that provided a 90 minute historical tour of downtown.
The tour driver was fascinating and very knowledgeable.
"These Boots are made for Talking" was  joint project of the Cheyenne Depot Museum Foundation and the Downtown Development Authority. The boots were sponsored by local businesses and auctioned at a fundraiser. The nearly $100,000.00 raised went to the Cheyenne Depot Museum Endowment Fund to benefit the museum

Each boot was painted by one or more of the area's creative and talented artists. The theme of the project was "if this boot could talk what would it say?"

We decided to go into a large Western store and WOW the were racks
and racks of cowboy boots-both women and men.
The least expensive boots that we saw were $99.99 and
the most expensive boots were those in the picture below.

There were many many rows of cowboy hats too, but we forgot to
check prices. We had a great day, full of fun and new sights.
Looking forward to going to Denver on Friday,

  1. We loved the boots, too, but you took more pictures than we did. Love Cheyenne! The trolley was the best way to find out about the city.
