Holidays in the desert

Stacie and Tony, (daughter and son-in-law) and Adam (son)arrived early morning on the 23rd of December. It was so fun and just a little wild for Ron and I. Adam's best friend (Abdullah) and his family from Saudi arrived about 9am and the fun began.

There is a favorite Mexican restaurant in DHS that we go to on Monday afternoon (around 3 pm) that serves absolutely the most delicious tacos and they are only $1.00. We went with the family and also close friends of ours. We had a great time and when we left we still had plenty of time to visit and play Uno as a family.
Abdullah (dad) Mohammad (son) Farah (daughter) and Aunt Stacie prepared snacks for us that evening.

Uncle Adam with Mohammad and Farah on Christmas eve morning. Our Saudi family is Muslim and do not recognize Christmas because it is a Christian holiday. So the children had presents from family and Santa. It was so fun to watch them and feel their excitement.

For Christmas eve lunch we all fixed our own "pizza's"

Abdullah's wife fixed a traditional Saudi breakfast and it was super good.
Mohammad stuck his smurf bullets on his face for fun.

We were sad when Stacie and Tony flew out on Christmas eve and sad again when our Saudi family left on the morning of the 26th. Our Adam stayed in his Mini Winnie and we left the 30th to head to ThousandTrails until the 13th of January. Adam will leave on the 9th. This is the first time he has gone "camping" in his rig and it has been quite the experience and a real learning curve for him. It has been so fun to spend time with him, his laugh is from the bottom of his feet and it is contagious.
