New York City, New York

We left the KOA campground at 7:30 am on Saturday July 21, with 5 other people, for a tour on that big bus behind us. We had a great guide, who was friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking to our fellow tourists and campers. We arrived home about 7pm. It was a long day,
but really fun.

Boat ride over to Liberty Island

One of the many views of the sky line from the tour boat.

WOW what a sight to see!!

Impressive piece of art  work, the detail was unbelievable.

This metal artwork of the world was located between the North and South towers of the world trade center. It was damaged, but not destroyed when the towers were hit by the planes. It was placed near the Hudson river as a reminder of 9/11.

Our next stop was  pier 17 for lunch..people people and more people

After lunch we went to the Empire State Building-from the time we got in the first of many lines it took us almost 2 hours to get to the 86th floor. We did not go to the top, but we were far enough up to have  spectacular views from all sides.

Looking across at the Hudson River.

Looking down

We thought the traffic in Seattle was bad!! not even close. Cars going every which way, they would go from the right side of the bus across the front and turn left. Unbelievable!!

These people were on Times Square and it was a Sunday in July,
not even the New Years Celebration!

What sights we saw!!

This is the ball that goes down in Times Square to celebrate New Years. It was a fun day,
but way too many people to want to come back any time soon.
