Tallahassee, Florida

On Friday morning (Oct 26) we did a self guided tour of the capitol (with 40+ second graders). The capitol was not redone to it's original state. It had the same period style furniture, the same colors and it is now the state museum. The museum rooms were done in a way that was very informative and easy to understand.

These outside awnings caught our eye and come to find out, this type of awnings were on the original capitol.

Flags that hang in one of the museum rooms.

This could have been us in the 1800's-nice look-I love the hats!!

Florida has the most interesting moss that hangs from some of their trees.

  1. Great photos! I especially like the one with you in costume! And those red and white awnings are impressive.
