Oregon, Willamette river fishing and Willamette falls 4.21.13

We left Salem Ore, this morning and arrived in Canby Oregon about 10:00 am. We stopped here to visit some of Ron's cousins. We visited with Joyce and Clinton, Joyce is Ron's dad's sister's daughter.  Tomorrow we are going to have lunch with Joyce's brother Dick and his wife, and another sister Lola Marie and her husband. We are looking forward to a lively lunch! Driving back to the rig we saw all these boats across the Willamette River and we stopped to watch. It was so interesting to see so many boats anchored so close together. (how do they keep their lines from tangling? It is a mystery to me)
All of these fisher people are hoping to catch a salmon from the annual spring run.

We stood for a few minutes waiting for this man to land his fish-to no avail-the
fish got up to the boat and the man reached down off the transom and cut the fish loose.
It looked like a big dogfish or small shark to me. The guy had a good fish story!!

It was sad to see all the big buildings along the falls that were in disarray and falling apart.
