We (me, Ron, Kourtni and my oldest daughter Stacie Pearl)left the house at 6am on Saturday morning to attend our granddaughters first foot race. The race was a 5K that was held at Bellevue's Community College, it was supposed to start at 9am, but the first wave of runners did not go off until 9:35. Each wave consisted of about 500 runners and there were 6 waves, about 5-6 minutes apart. We met my oldest son Adam and his friend at the parking lot at around 8am, we had so much fun. Kourtni was a little apprehensive but she did great!!
So funny, she is in a light weight running shirt and yoga pants and I have a shirt,
hooded sweatshirt and vest on with jeans. She is just right and I am freezing!!
In Kourtni's hands are colored corn starch packets that
are supposed to by thrown at other runners.
Prior to color being thrown at her!!
After her mom and Uncle Adam threw color on her!!
What a cutie!!
Yikes!! so many runners and so much "paint" being thrown around
Just starting out!!
The last 100+ feet-still smiling and having a good time
Finish Line!!
Done with the race and walking back to the car.
She needed to take off her "color clothes" for the ride back!!
We had such fun, it was a great day with the family!!
