Alaskan cruise-Skagway-White pass railroad and bus tour of the city-July 3, 2013

Our view of the little town of Skagway-again tourism is # 1 industry. During the winter
the population is between 500-600 people, one school with grades kindergarten
thru high school. The school had 67 students last year with 6 graduating seniors.
The school district employs about 9-10 teachers, a great student to teacher ratio.

Our room was on the bottom tear- 4th from the right!! "We had ring side seats for everything!!
A train track snow plow!! So glad that was not in the plan for our train trip!

On the train ready to go..
 The friendly conductor
I would hold my breath when we would go over the bridges, pretty scary.

 Up up we go!!

That was only 1 of the bridges that our train went over

We were within a few feet of Canada at the summit.

Our room was the 3rd from the left! on the lowest level of windows. We loved it!

We went on a fun bus tour of the city and it included the cemetery.

Our trolley tour guide posing for us at the Skagway cemetery.

These were taken on an over look of the city-our cruise boat in the background.
