Our last day of volunteering at the Solheim Cup came as a relief. It was a different experience than we have had at our other volunteering experiences for the LPGA.
There were cameras and carts every where and spectators on the move. We saw more people in the practice days at this tournament than we ever did on the last day of any other tournament. Although our personal expectations were not met, it was a historical time for the U.S. and we are glad that we were a part of this international event.
US players walking to the 15th green. There was record heat the 3 days of the tournament.93-97 degrees was the average.
Ping Pavilion- People had to have a special badge to enter this pavilion-thank goodness it was air conditioned- people were coming in-but very few people went out. There were many huge TV's that broadcast the tournament, folks could eat, drink and watch golf. It doesn't get any better than that.
We were stationed at the back door to check and put a wrist band on spectators.
Beautiful sunset in Parker, Colorado.
