Fossil Butte, WY and Red Canyon, Utah 9.10-11.13

This National Monument was very interesting and the visitor's center was filled with fossil's.

There was display case after display case with fossil's in them.

The original JC Penney store in Kimmerer Wy. It was so fun to look around, new merchandise but antique decorations.
Jim and Lynda explored the "mezzanine" in the store.
To the left of this pulley system is where customers paid. Mr Penney did not want the salespeople to handle any of the money-so he installed this system when the clerks would put the money in the cups and pulley them to the business office. The folks would take the money and return the change if needed.

Ron saw this sign in a tavern and he had to take this picture.
We have seen some beautiful scenery but this was up there in the awesome category. The colors were vivid and the contrast with the sky was breathtaking.
Ron does not like heights and it was all he could do to have his picture taken this close to the edge.
We are having such a good time with our friends Jim and Lynda Anderson. We are making memories!!!

All of the pictures were so good, I couldn't decide which ones to post..If anyone has the opportunity-this National Park should be on the top of the list of "must see".

On our way back to camp Lynda was showing me how to take pictures with my IPad. We had the giggles, but I finally got the jist!! Jim and Ron were laughing at us, we were so tentative about getting to the edge of the road.
