When we first arrived at DHS there were multiple advertisements for a golf cart parade in downtown Palm Desert, it looked like fun so we decided to go, at the last minute we decided to park our chairs and find somewhere for lunch!! WOW- sticker shock-we each had a sandwich and a small bowl of soup and Ron had iced tea-$28.00!!! and the bread was so dry we could hardly swallow it! Well, we learned a valuable lesson-eat at home before any event, and the parade was not what we expected. We had a fun time visiting with the folks that sat in front of us and it was a beautiful sunny hot day and we were together.
