Atlanta, Georgia-capital

On our way from North Carolina to Georgia we stopped and got gas. Right before we were finished, this car pulled within inches of the front of the motor home, driver jumped out, went into the store and then came out and finally got gas. The people in the car were clueless as to the position they put us in.

We arrived at Jones RV Park near Atlanta, Georgia  around 2PM on the October 11th. It is a huge old park with no amenities and the park has a security person that cruises the park all night. It is ok with us, 50amp, well water, dump and we can get our satellite. What more could we want?

The capital was absolutely gorgeous-there are 4 different colors of marble in use
and the 4th floor had a very informative and well done museum.

This was a typical door on the first floor of the capital with
beautiful pink marble as the base of the walls.

We have seen some not so nice looking statues-but this one is carved of some famous
women and it was down right ugly!!! Although the pink stone was beautiful.

One of the many beautiful lamps in the lobby of the capital.

House of Representatives

This is the first time we have seen a shoe shine stand in any of the capitals we have been too,
