Prior to our tour of the Country Hall of Fame we went on a 31/2 hour tour of down town Nashville and then went to see the homes of the "rich and famous country folk". We saw some very impressive mansions that cost between 4-10 million. What do people need with 7,000-35,000 square feet of house? We do very nicely in only 450 square feet. This house Alan Jackson owned when he wrote the song "WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE WORLD STOPPED". His song about 9/11. It has two air strips, many acres for farming and 2 man made lakes stocked for fishing.
This is a rock fence that has no mortar or anything to hold it together, it was very impressive and one long big piece of precision artwork. Notice the vertical top rocks so you cannot walk on top of the wall.
We stopped in at one of the gazillion bars/restaurants in downtown Nashville and had lunch and listened to 2 young ladies that played? and sang? country music. As a professional listener of "The Voice" these 2 gals would not have a chance in heck.
The folks in Nashville really know how to party!!
3 separate floors of the same bar!!
Rascal Flatts had a concert and the honkytonk section of town was really getting busy by 5:00. All the bars had music and full of concert fans tuning up for the concert at 8:00.
We are ready for the Museum tour.
This is the legend of where all the gold records are placed on the wall.
Beautiful performing outfits were everywhere.
On our way back to the bus I saw this beautiful statue of an angel, and it is located outside the Shermerhorn Symphony Center.
