Animal Kingdom, Disney World FL, 1.22.2013

                                          Our day at Animal Kingdom                                                        

 

We arrived with Sally(our friend from the RV park) about 9:30 and went
straight to get in line for the production of the Lion King!!Oh my gosh, it was
absolutely fabulous, I think we enjoyed it more than most of the children.

Many of the performers were dancing around on stilts-so fun to watch

 The Hedgehog was huge and so fun to watch-he sang

and moved his head back and forth to the beat of the music.

Next we went on a "Jeep" ride through Kilimanjaro to view wild

animals and WOW there were a huge number of  animals, we

took multiple pictures, but I only had room to post the following 3.

 

 

 

Our next stop was a walk through the bird aviary-beautiful birds with some very interesting nests. 

 The nests of the yellow birds are the round objects hanging in the trees

 

We were walking along and all of a sudden the ivy on a tree started to move. (SHE WAS ALIVE!)

 

Our next stop was a wild bird show. It was really fun and the 2 performers were comedians!! 

 What would a day, on the go, be without lunch. Ron and Sally had pulled pork sandwiches and I had ribs that literally fell off the bone and the onion rings were some of the best we've  had.

Our next stop was a 3D movie of "it's  tough to be a bug"-It was so fun the seats moved, we had wind in our face and a tiny bit of rain fell on us. Super entertaining-even for the old folks!

 



 

 

Ron and Sally went on this roller coaster-I was very content to be a spectator.

My days of riding scary loud rides with fast forward/backward movement is over!!!

I was kinda green just watching...

 

Our last stop for the day was the Nemo Puppet Show-another wonderful experience!

 

Another day of great memories!!
