Golf in Delaware

Ron had called several golf courses in our area and checked on availability and price. The availability was within reason, but the price was definitely not. He called another course that he found on line and he reached an answering machine that said they were open from dawn to dusk. When we woke this am he called again and she said we did not need tee times and we should just come over when we were ready to golf, which we did. When we initially pulled up there was no one in sight, but pretty soon this 30 something lady riding on a riding mowing machine came over and welcomed us. It was $14 dollars for each of us and we could play all day and it was cash only.
As you can tell the golf course was not perfect, but it was a par 3 and gave us many  chances to use our irons. We had a good time and afterward we visited with her (owner) about the corn and soy bean crops. We both are learning so much about how our country produces it food and how other people live.

It is a journey that we will never forget.

This was only hole that was 152 yards, the rest were 101-123 yards
This was the only water on the course

It was an 18 hole par 54 course and really fun.
It was so hot that by hole number 2 we were both dripping wet with perspiration.
