Today was such a fun day with Dick and Irene and their friends. For years I have heard about Dick and Irene this and Dick and Irene that. Ron met them when Irene and Dick were in parenting classes with Ron and his first wife. Their children were born 2 days apart and their friendship flourished many years. Even though Ron and I have been married for many years we were never able to spend time with them so I could get to know them. Well the last few days have been a wonderful opportunity for me to get to know them. It is so neat for me to be able to say that Dick and Irene are now OUR friends.
Irene fixed a scrumptious lunch and invited Dee and Wayne Jacobson and Elizabeth Flagg over to meet us, visit and have lunch. Lunch was serve at 1200 and before we knew it was 5 PM.
The afternoon just flew by, the friends left, we had dinner and a fun evening playing cards.
We have really enjoyed ourselves and can not wait until next year.
