New Mexico and Tuscon, Arizona 2/27 and 3/1/2013

We stopped at Deming, New Mexico on our way to Tucson to visit friends of Ron. It was 22.3 degrees when we got up, but our propane furnace and electric blanket kept us cozy.

This is the view of the moon when we were pulling out of the RV park.

We arrived in Tucson Wednesday Feb 27th, about 11:30, went to a wonderful "market" which looked like a street fair to us, had diner with our friends and then played cards. We had a fun day!

Irene and Dick were busy on the 28th so we toured Saguaro National Park-pronounced
Sawuaro-It was beautiful, no wind and the temperature was in the upper 60's.

Every one of these cactus's was so interesting and unique. I looked all over the interpretative center for a booklet with the names and pictures of the cacti, but I could not find any references.
After our tour of the cacti we went to the Kerchner Caverns in Benson, Az. We were not allowed to take any pictures-but we would highly recommend the cave tour to everybody.

We have come along way!! We are retired and playing our first game
of shuffleboard!! It takes a gentle touch and good aim! It was really
fun-but I do not have a gentle touch nor a good aim.

Dick and I had a score of 1 and Ron and Irene had 13!! guess Ron and I will have
to practice if we are going to play shuffleboard on a regular basis! Maybe next year!!
only can practice one sport at a time and golf is my sport that I really need to practice.

After our rounding game of shuffle board we went to lunch at Beyond
Bread-It was a wonderful experience and the food was a 10/10.

Ron and I had the Rubin- and there was so much meat and sauerkraut on the
sandwich  we could hardly get our mouth open far enough to take a bite!

Tonight Irene is cooking Salmon and we are going to learn a new card game called "shove-it"
